Partners are at the heart of everything we do. Every bottle we upcycle, every artisan we employ, and every product we create begins with someone who chooses to see waste differently. Our partners don't just support Chako, they make our mission possible. Together, we turn what Zanzibar throws away into something valuable, while creating fair work and a cleaner island for the community we all share.

Full Circle Partners

First, we want to celebrate and thank our Full Circle Partners. Full Circle Partners are our is biggest and most committed partners. They supply us with their waste through Bottle Collection service, and support us regularly by welcoming our handmade products back into their spaces, turning the bottles they once discarded into the very pieces their guests enjoy. It's circularity in its truest, most complete form, and our closest kind of partnership.

Impact Partners

We also greatly value and celebrate our Impact Partners. Impact Partners are amongst dedicated and loyal Chako supporters, forming the backbone of Chako. By joining our bottle collection service or supporting us through their regular purchases, they help divert glass and plastic from Zanzibar's landfills and oceans, giving that waste a second life. Every Impact Partner plays a real part in our circular story, and in the local jobs it sustains.

Partner Universities & Education

We're proud to collaborate with universities, welcome interns, and dedicate time to sustainability and education. These partnerships help us share what we've learned, learn from others, and inspire a new generation to see waste as a resource, not a problem.

Some of the biggest steps forward happen through the projects and organisations who invest directly in our work.
